CDR NaturalsAbout CDR About CDR Naturals…While living in the St. Louis metropolitan area in the mid 80's our family discovered we were 'Hypo-glycemic'. Previously my husband had been suffering from pancreatic and other blood sugar related health abnormalities. Immediately under the supervision of our physician and a staff nutritionist we made a major effort to change our diet. While looking for avenues to further our varieties of foods which would be along the lines of no sugar and no white flour, we came across a health food buying group that some of our friends were involved with. Until 1992 while living in the St. Louis area we were actively involved in the administration and purchasing efforts of the group. Then on Thanksgiving weekend of 1992 we moved our residence to rural Missouri, St. James, and started to administer a buying club of our own to maintain our diet standards. (Don't misunderstand, we are like the average American family and occasionally get caught in a pinch and eat at McDonald's!) We have found however there are great rewards in overall health and well being by eating more raw fruits, vegetable, grains and organically grown dairy and meats. We also have seen the benefits to supplementing our diet with vitamins, minerals, herbs, and other food supplements. In 1993 we found our dream home. An underground structure on five acres on the outskirts of Bourbon, MO! May 1995 we opened our 'country health food store'! We have since relocated to the 'downtown' section of Bourbon and expanded to include a resource / library room and this website for those more interested in furthering their self-help endeavors. In the CDR storefront we are also able to help friends through employment opportunities. We truly want to see the masses enjoying the life that was intended for them.
